J.C. Owens:

Hey friend. Top of the morning to you. J.C. here, and today I want to have a talk; something I was talking to my son about on the way to school today is just doing more today than you did yesterday when it comes to health and fitness; and it doesn't matter what your favorite activity is. I don't care if you're gardening. I don't care if you like walking; if you like hitting the treadmill or if you are doing resistance training at the gym. Just do a little bit more today than you did yesterday, and you'll find that just that little effort each day. At the end of 30 days is a huge effort, and if we were to only apply this to, maybe park a little further out in the parking lot today than you did yesterday. I go to Walmart all the time and I park so far out into the parking lot, but I do that for two reasons. I do it so I don't get door dings on my vehicle, but I also do it because I don't mind the walking, the extra walking is good. It's going to provide you a better element of health and fitness right now as part of my bodybuilding training, I'm gonna come up here in the next few weeks. I'll be about 30 days out for my next competition, and I need to get as lean as possible. And the very good way to get lean is make sure that you are walking at least a hundred minutes a day. Now I'm gonna have to do that on a schedule naturally. But I'm not used to walking a hundred minutes a day in a set order. And so I'm gonna apply that and see how much more leaner I can get before the next competition. But if you're not used to walking upstairs, start walking upstairs, take baby steps. You might not be able to, walk up a whole bunch of stairs right away. But it's going to help you with your health and fitness and make you more mobile. If you haven't been doing any form of physical exercise, start incorporating a little bit into your plan. And I don't care if it means just walking down the street, go to the mall in the mornings. For safety and security reasons. A lot of malls open up early so folks can actually go in there and walk with other folks and they actually make friends and form relationships and it's a good thing. Whether you're a hardcore gym buff or whether you're just somebody looking for better health and fitness, just incorporate more today than you did yesterday, and you will see the results very quickly. Like I said, 30 days of that, and you will see and start feeling a difference. And that's what this is all about. It's about feeling better. I think everything that we do when it comes to working out, I don't care whether it's resistance, training, weightlifting, whatever it is, it's supposed to make you feel better. And you're gonna start feeling better if you're doing it on a regular, consistent basis, instead of what I call just these flashes in the pan where you decide, oh, I'm gonna get in shape, and it's, a two month episode, and then you go right back to the same old habits. So start forming better habits more today than you did yesterday, and you'll see the results. Hey, that's J.C.. Simple message, and for now, I am outta here.
